KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Memorial Day weekend traditionally marks the start of summer, and East Tennessee has plenty of events to help you celebrate. Here are some of the ways you can Find Your Fun this weekend:Thursday: It’s Free Family Night at Muse Knoxville. Every fourth Thursday, the museum is open and free to the public from 5 to 7 p.m. Capacity is limited, so arrive early.

Saturday: Knoxville’s oldest community run, the Knoxville Expo 5K and 10K, is back for its 46th year. The kids’ mile starts at 7 a.m., with the 5K and 10K following at 7:30 a.m. The race starts and ends at Crafty Bastard Brewery.

Rockin’ the Docks, an all-day music festival at Lenoir City Park on Fort Loudoun Lake, runs 1 to 10:30 p.m. Live bands and food will be on site, ending with fireworks.

Several local pools open for the season and will stay open through Labor Day. Oak Ridge Outdoor Pool and Springbrook Pool in Alcoa open Friday. Inskip Pool and Ed Cothren Pool in Knoxville open Saturday. Admission is around $5. Most splash pads are also open, including Carl Cowan, Lenoir City, Powell Station, McFee, World’s Fair and Knoxville Zoo.

The 23rd annual Rockin’ the Docks festival in Lenoir City, an all-day event ending in fireworks at Lenior City Park, and several local swimming pools opening for the summer offer ways to soak up the sunshine.
