Knoxville Chamber Names New Executive Director

Nathan Sage named executive director of Knoxville Chamber Info
KNOXVILLE — The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce has appointed Nathan Sage as its new executive director. Sage, a former Marine and Army officer, will start May 30.

“Nathan possesses many of the qualities that are required for our Executive Director to be successful — leadership, relationship building, storytelling, and most importantly, a passion for Knoxville,” said chamber board president Tracy Russell.

Sage graduated from Kansas State University with degrees in journalism, mass communications and leadership. He previously served as market director for KNIA/KRLS radio in Indianola and as news director and ad executive for a Knoxville radio station.

“Nathan has developed many relationships with business leaders and community members through his previous roles,” Russell said. “As we strengthen our partnership with the City of Knoxville and other entities to align our initiatives and messaging, Nathan’s storytelling abilities will aid in our efforts to promote Knoxville.”

Sage takes over as the chamber prepares for its busy summer season, including the 62nd NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals. The chamber organizes the event’s parade and parking.

“I am incredibly excited for the opportunity and to help lead Knoxville and the Knoxville business community for years to come,” Sage said.

The chamber is relocating to 107 E. Main St. in June. The nonprofit promotes business, encourages shopping local and aims to foster a “vibrant business community through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.”
